Technology

The year is 2013.  We have watches that tell us where we are and how fast we are going.  We have phones that we can talk to and that can look up basically anything we want to know in seconds.  We can email files to friends on the other side of the world in no time flat.

So, when a patient is transferring from one hospital to another an hour's drive away, and the first hospital forgets to send the CT and MRI image disks in the ambulance with the patient, how do they go about getting the images to the new hospital?  Go ahead and think of your answer.  Then scroll down to find out what actually happened.

TAXICAB.  They put the disks in an envelope and sent them to us in a taxi.

True story.

In case you ever wondered why a hospital visit is so expensive.  ;)
